"Endurance is coordination training under prolonged or event-specific time restraints"

While "endurance" possibly isn't the correct term for team sports however, in the case of these the athlete needs the ability to repeat "coordination training" with limited (i.e., sub-optimal) periods of recovery, and be able to do this for however long the game lasts

Agreed. However, before we can 'endure' the quality, we need to develop it. Repeated bouts of high-coordination activity will prepare the athlete better than a steady-state type training session. cf Jim Radcliffe's work.
